Every day more than an estimated 400 youth and young adults in Massachusetts are without a place to stay or need to transition from unhealthy homes.
Finding shelter is just the first step.
At Small House, we help young people plan for the life
they want to live next.

Asjah Monroe address how we can fight youth homelessness with community care
Most young adults experiencing homelessness don’t know they already have the tools they need.
Small House coaching helps them understand they are fully capable and resilient. They bring a unique knowledge about their own lives, desires and dreams and can build a path to independent adulthood on their own terms.
This is challenging, gradual and process-based work. Done successfully, it reduces the likelihood of future episodes of homelessness.
